Thank you for your interest in sailing with South Port this season. All programs are provided by certified instructors in a fun and safe environment. All sessions will consist of land based lessons and activities as well as lots of time on the water. We hope you enjoy sailing with us on beautiful and warm Lake St. Clair.

For registration questions please use email rather than the listed phone number. Messages left on the phone are only checked occasionally.
Classes will not be cancelled due to rain, but may be cancelled if weather conditions do not allow for safe sailing. There are no refunds or make up days due to weather cancellations. Arrangements should be made for potential early pick ups.
Each sailor must have his or her own approved vest type lifejacket. This will be worn at all times when on the water.
Each sailor must bring everything needed for an entire day outside in various weather conditions - lunch, water, sunscreen, appropriate footwear, etc.
Cancellations: A $50 administration fee will be deducted from the refund for any cancellations prior to the start of a session. No refunds will be issued once a session has started unless that space can be filled from the waitlist.
If Provincial or Health Unit related covid restrictions prevent us from running at the expected capacity full refunds will be issued.
Each participant is charged once per year a $18 Ontario Sailing participant fee. This will be added to the first registration.
No experience is necessary to start in CANSail 1. Participants will learn the fundamental skills of sailing while having fun on the water. These skills will be taught by our qualified instructors with a focus on safety and having fun on the water.
Please Note: a level may not always be achieved in a single 2 week session. All students are evaluated individually against the CANSail standards. We want sailors to develop skills, but more importantly enjoy their time sailing with us.
All sessions are 9am-4pm. Supervision is not provided before or after.
An $18 Ontario Sailing Participant fee is added once per year for each participant.
